Promoting Sundiata with business-card-sized fliers
Again, following in the footsteps of the poster design, Afriky Lolo and I carried the same motif into the fliers as well. And, man, they look sweet! Instead of doing the standard 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 glossy, we decided to go with the standard business-card size instead.
I have a friend who is a designer, cartoonist and a DJ who always promotes his shows on business cards from PKGraphics because you can get 1000 glossy two-sided business cards for $30, or 5000 for $100. The benefit here is that you can get a ton of these for cheap, and you can hand out something that isn’t clunky and likely to get folded up and left somewhere.
However, we chose to go with another online printing company called Moo for business cards. Moo is awesome because it gives you great printing options, and its matte-finish cards are straight up sexy. For example, we were able to upload up to 50 images for the top graphic. This allowed us to have the same event info on the back, but we where able to print 10 different images for the top of the card. All in all, the quality is great, the uploading and ordering process is smooth, and the leather and metal business-card case that I added to the order had my client extra psyched. The cards we shown below.
